As any good restaurant requires on prime time certainly recommend setting a reservation, as it did get busy! The accommodations for a family certainly were In effect before 7pm...then mostly adults afterwards. The owner and number of waiters, hostess and very helpful wait staff ensure that you are being cared for throughout your meal experience. The menu has all the fare that most fine Italian restaurants offer, with a select selection of specials! Bread comes out warm...We enjoyed the Calamari as some recommended...the margarita pizza and special salad was a great start that fulfilled all our 1st course appetites. The wine as ordered pinot Grigio by the carafe was surprisingly good and the time between appetizers and ordering dinner entrees was not rushed.Clean up of dishes between meals was appreciated. The specials were recommended and although I elected to ordered a more traditional dish Chicken Frances (done good but more eggy than preferred) with Ziti garlic and oil on the side. The appetizers and this main filled our appetite complete for my wife and I with our kids perfectly. I paid attention to other dishes being served and Osso bucco, parmesan dishes, baked clams, and specialty pastas looked very good!!!Think that it is a very nice restaurant. Very reasonable! Has a waiting area and small bar...if you have to wait for a table..or want to enjoy a cocktail. We have used them for a private dinner celebration and think it is a great venue that could fit a smaller party 50-60 comfortably... they take pride in making sure that you are pleased! Enjoy!

Instead of being stuck on the Southern State Parkway at rush hour, with a crowded Belt Parkway looming...I hit the navigation button for closest restaurants. It showed Elisa’s Restaurant not too far off the beaten path. It’s a small family style Italian restaurant. Since I was alone, I asked to eat at the tiny back bar, which they were absolutely fine with. I think it’s normally reserved for family and friends.I started with the calamari, which was excellent - very lightly fried, crisp, tender, and served with homemade marinara. Next I had the veal Sorentino, with prosciutto and eggplant. It was a perfect-sized portion and was very tasty, in a light red sauce. It was four out of five on my scale - seemed to need that one extra component for a full wow-factor (maybe black olives, or even fresh basil or parsley on top).My side dish of angel hair pasta came out as thin spaghetti and wasn’t quite sauced enough. Aside from that, I would recommend trying this Mom & Pop restaurant - the menu is varied with specials and there is a full bar. I would come back to try more of the food!

If you haven’t eaten here, you’ve missed a great dinning experience, I’ve had the Chilean sea bass, the gorgonzola shrimp, the shrimp scampi, the chicken with red wine reduction and portobello mushrooms, the soups, the salad, the macaroni side dishes, it doesn’t get any better than this. I’m looking forward to tryi g every dish they offer OMG it’s the BEST!

I love this place, they treat you like family, the food is amazing and prices aren’t bad. The service is amazing. Before this the owner used to have Villa Carmella and between there and Elisa’s I’ve been a satisfied customer for over 20 years.

I’ve been going here since it opened, and the food has only gotten better as time has gone on. Its a nice family place, owned by two brothers (with mom helping sometimes :) ) and the service is almost as great as the food (Which is delicious). I would recommend most everything on the menu, but the stuffed mushrooms are my favorite! They also are really good about accommodating picky eaters. (I don’t think my mom has ordered off the menu once). I would go here on a nice date or with the family. Good food, great atmosphere, you will roll out of here very happy!

This restaurant is fantastic. There is no other word for it. From the outside, it looks like a run of the mill Italian restaurant but the food is absolutely delicious. The staff is attentive, helpful, kind, fun, and they make the atmosphere extremely comfortable for their guests. They really treat you like friends and family and it makes you want to return, and bring them more business! I go here every Valentine’s Day with my fiance (as well as other times throughout the year) and have tried multiple things on the menu, all of them delicious. This year I had the shrimp parmigiana with the potato croquet’s (which are to die for) and the fried calamari. The wine is delicious, everything on the table is always nicely set and clean and the prices are completely reasonable. I will continue to visit this place multiple times a year and praise it each time. If you like REAL delicious Italian food, I encourage everyone in the area to try it!

Went here for dinner the other night, and I was pleasntly surprised. We had to wait 15/20 minutes as there was a big party taking up 1/3 of the dining area. This was not a problem, as the two gentlemen who clearly run/own/manage the place are beyond nice. I never agree with the hundred times you hear "oh they treat you like friends and family", but wow, this place, it’s true. It’s like they’ve known you for years. And it’s not overwhelming, which is good. Now, onto the food. Started with the arancini, and calamari oreganate. My parents seemed to really enjoy the arancini, I thought it was a little underhwelming, and a little bland. What did help significantly was the cream sauce though, that was delicious. The calamari was incredible though. Clearly fresh, and not fried unlike 98% of places you go. Some white wine came through and the breadcrumbs, it was delicious. For main course, I got tortellini with mushrooms, pancetta in a cream sauce, there was also fettucini alreado with shrimp, and chicken stuffed with spinach, proscuitto, and mozz in a wine sauce. The tortellini itself was good, but the sauce was not what I was hoping or expecting. I did not taste the fettucini, but the stuffed chicken was incredible. That alone was worth the price of admission.I’ll definitely go back and try some other things.

Elisa’s is the kind of Italian restaurant where they treat you like family. It’s owned by brothers Rocky and Paolo Telese and they make you feel like you’re eating in their home. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and the service is very attentive. The food is delicious. My favorite is the lasagna which like their spaghetti is served with mini meatballs. I have eaten here many times with a table full of family and everyone has always liked what they ordered. Elisa’s is an all around great restaurant. Feel confident ordering anything on the menu.

It was a rainy, cold evening. The man and I were driving around, attempting to find some good Italian food in the area. With the help of my trusty Yelp app (cheap plug?) we found Elisa’s. We drove by it the fist time since it’s tiny but we looped back around. The good thing is, they have two parking lots and the first one was full....On a Wednesday night. That says something. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the hostess. She quickly sat us and rambled off the specials for the evening. Everything sounded amazing. She also said Wednesday is Chicken Night and a separate menu was included with only chicken specials for $12.95. After we ordered our drinks, we flipped through the large menu. We had our heart set on chicken, though. The chicken specials menu is huge! So many options. I immediately noticed the rollitini and went with that. Our waiter stopped by to take our orders and was one of the funniest waiters I have ever encountered. While we waited for our food, we noshed on bread and olive oil that was mixed with sundried tomatoes and some sort of pepper. The food came out and we immediately dug in. Both chickens were perfectly cooked. The rollitini was full of spinach and mozzarella. The white wine sauce they use is AMAZING. I wanted to finish it with a spoon. I had broccoli on the side and that was even made perfectly. For $12.95 on Chicken Wednesdays, you get a soup or salad (the salad dressing is out of this world), your entree, and a side. The boyfriend loved his meal, as well and everything was cooked to perfection. Every bite had a mouthful of flavor. Absolutely amazing.I also like that they leave you alone during your meal. They wait till you’re finished, then they ask if you need anything else. They’re also quick to refill water and drinks. I also loved the decor. They wrapped the paintings in wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows for Christmas. It was a pretty touch to the already gorgeous restaurant. The only thing I considered removing a star for was when they packed my leftovers, they left a side not completely tucked in so white wine sauce ended up on my pants. No biggie. That’s what detergent is for. I will definitely visit this place again.

It wasn’t until halfway through dessert that we realized the lemon sorbet was served in an actual lemon! We waited a few minutes to sit (on a Thursday night??) but sipping something from their wide Johnnie Walker selection and chatting with the chef / owners made it feel much shorter. Rice ball appetizers were delicious and unique and the gnocchi were "best" my red-headed Northern-Italian fiancé "ever had." My volcano lamb osso buco over a bed of forbidden rice was outstanding and we heard raves coming from every table. Definitely a local gem.

Went there to book an event and also to taste the food. Had read and heard the food was fantastic, and we totally agree. They went out of their way to find something that my husband would like (not a fan of pasta and sauce) and the chef/co-owner sat down and asked him what he liked and suggested a few things they had that they could make. Our waiter was excellent, very attentive and helpful, and all the waitstaff were very friendly. The food was amazing. A really good menu with many choices. The appetizers were delicious. My husband had a sausage appetizer that was almost the same as what his grandmother would get years ago - he was raving about it and said he’d come back just for that (we live over 1 hour away so for him to say that, he really liked it!). I had one of their pasta dishes off the menu as my entree and my husband had filet mignon (which was a really good portion) and both were excellent. Even my super picky son who just likes french friend and chicken fingers said it was "the best food ever". When it came time to talk to the chef about booking our event he went out of his way to sit and explain the menu and help me decide what to choose. I was impressed that he came out a few times to make sure all the guests were happy and well fed. The tiramisu was really good too. I was very happy with the food and the atmosphere and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. I can’t wait for the event we are having there!

Nice neighbors eater but service and portions could have been better. 1st sat down to a dirty tablecloth. That can happen so we looked passed it and moved tables. Waitress very nice and very funny. But her Sevice skills could have been better. Bread was great. We started off and order a salad to share at the table along with 2 appetizers. The moment they dropped the salad, they dropped the 2 hot appetizers. Which meant we had rush through the salad sp that the apps were not going to get cold Salad and apps were delicious. The main meal was very nice too, but the portions were small and the waitress dropped 1/4 of the order on the table cloth trying to serve us. Then put it back in the main plate. I had to ask her to ask the kitchen to cook us another piece. She should have offered. Also some dirty plates and old drink glasses were never cleared properly from the table during the service. We probably would not return. But maybe

This is my favorite go to restaurant!!! I have never been disappointed in either the food or the service. Really good home cooked Italian food. The pasta specials are to die for!! The staff and owners go out of their way to make you feel at home. Since I needed to start following a gluten free diet, the kitchen has gone out of their way to make most of my favorite dishes gluten free. Just a wondeful place for a nice stress fee meal!!
