Incredible, authentic recipes passed down the family straight from Italy. Everytime I've been there I'm treated just like family. This is my favorite stop every time I'm back in town. Highly recommended by friends and family. And I'd have to agree. Elisa's is a hidden gem. .

For the past (almost) 18 years, my husband and I have been enjoying delicious meals at Elisa's in Bellmore. From date nights, to special occasions such as Easter, family gatherings and celebrations, today was no different. I often hear folks talk about how some restaurants succumb to the rush of patrons for holidays and special occasions, such as Mother's Day, for various reasons (inadequate staffing, limited or too extensive of a menu, overbooking, etc.) and I, too, have been disappointed in the past. But not today. And frankly, not ever at Elisa's. Rocky, his brother and chef, Paolo, along with their parents run their restaurant as if it was their home, and you, their family. Today, although it was packed, we enjoyed our meals from drinks, to appetizers, entrees and desserts without the staff skipping a beat. Never did we have to flag down our waitress, ask for refills on drinks or the like. Rocky was present on the floor throughout our entire meal and pulled up a chair to speak with us for a quick spell while we waited for our desserts. With three children, one of whom has special needs, to be comfortable in an establishment on any given day is a gift. Our waitress even remembered our littlest fella's preference for parmesan cheese even though she hasn't been our waitress for quite some time. We came for an early dinner on "Chicken Night" and the place was fairly crowded by 5:30. (Wednesdays one can order a two course meal from a wide variety of chicken entree choices for $15.95). Seated immediately by a friendly server who brought us a large basket of warmed Italian bread and two butters, one spicy one plain. Very nice touch. Cosmo cocktail was large and potent, poured at table from a well chilled shaker. Service was great throughout the evening including prompt refilling of water glasses. The decor is nice and seating is spacious, we weren’t packed in like sardines.Unfortunately the food didn’t measure up to the service and decor. Escarole bean soup was watery and bland. Chicken sorrentino consisted of two paper thin slices of dry chicken breast topped with mushy eggplant and undercooked mozzarella, served barely lukewarm. Pasta sides came with acidic tomato sauce that tasted like canned. Disappointing. Hoping this was an off night, perhaps they cut corners on the bargain-priced weekday specialty nights? Elisa’s is a nice venue and well worth another visit. We’ll try them again on a weekend and order off the regular dinner menu to find out.

Love the family feeling you get from the second you step in. Great staff and the owner is a gem. Guy walks around and interacts with everybody and becomes very personable. Make sure you get a reservation before you go, the handful of times I’ve been the wait gets a little nutty but it’s well worth it. Food tastes nothing short of homemade authentic Italian cooking. Awesome atmosphere, can’t wait to return.

Definitely a MUST!!From the minute you walk in, you are treated like family. Words cannot describe the quality of the food and presentation. The chef takes it to a whole new level. Not to mention an off premise catering that they did for me was excellent. All my guests to this day, keep speaking about the food and how that helped make my party a success.

Had my Mom’s surprise 95th birthday at Elisa’s on March 10th. Everything went perfectly and food was delicious. After looking around, Elisa’s offered by far the most options with a nice menu (guests got a choice of 6 main course choices) . So many guests commented on how good the food was, and asked how did I find that restaurant. A friend of mine who eats regularly at Elisa’s had brought me there when I was looking for a place for the party and then I ate dinner a couple of times to try the food. I would definitely have another party and continue to eat at Elisa’s in the future. Service was good and prices were very reasonable. Thanks to Rocky for all of his help and patience!

On Friday evening circa 9PM Bon G. and I decended upon Elisa’s...We have been wanting to try this place for a long time. We watched the Yelp reviews, particularily Tom C.’s which touted the restaurant as Great! It stands alone on N. Jerusalem Rd. with parking on the side. Upon entering we were greeted and seated by our very friendly server Marlene.We felt comfortable in the nice dining room and were amazed at the number of choices available on both the regular and 2 sided Specials Menu.We started with our usual GG shaken up with a twist and a Tequila Kamakaze up. both large and potent and competitively priced at $12 to $13 each. For Appys we ordered the Fried Calamari with spicy sauce on the side and the Stuffed Artichoke.The Calamari was prepared well and the Artichoke was too small, with hardly any leafs on it...should have been given 2 at that size to call 1 order.For Mains, Bon had Veal Parm with a side Cesare Salad and I had the Chicken Scarp on the bone with an upgraded side of Cappelini with Clam Sauce. Both delish and prepared perfectly!On the table along with the usual seasoning and spices was a bottle filled with red Hot Oil...called Lava Oil. Was HOT and so good we bought a bottle to take home. We were very happy we stopped in and look forward to returning to try other choices on their menu!

Best Italian restaurant one can hope for! Been coming here 2-3 times weekly for 9 yrs. Food never disappoints. Wide variety of daily specials, as well as the regular menu which offers something for everybody. Staff is awesome; courteous, efficient, friendly, and eager to please. Once we discovered Elisa’s, there was no reason to go anywhere else for great Italian food. We were home!

I literally walked in the restaurant as they were unlocking the doors one Sunday. I explained to Rocky that my mom was in the hospital and was craving a bowl of tripe. A dish she made at home for all of us growing up. Without a hesitation in his voice Rocky said be back in a half hour and the tripe would be ready. Well when I walked in with the tripe moms eyes lit up. After the first bite the smile was from ear to ear. All though she only ate a few pieces seeing the smile on her face was priceless. Rocky and Paolo you guys made one of moms last days a happy one. Although I told you she was in the hospital she was really at home under hospice care. This is what it's all about a neighborhood restaurant run by good guys with family values. We frequent the restaurant often and have had a few gatherings there and have never left disappointed.

It’s our favorite place. Chef Paulo and brother Rocky always make you feel at home. Food is always excellent. Great selections on the menu. We go there for New Year’s Eve and Fat Tuesday. It’s our go to place.

Extremely welcoming staff. They were beyond attentive as soon as you walked into the restaurant. Service was great. We had high hopes that the meal would be good since they had a decent mix of diners at the time. However, the food was somewhat disappointing. My veal dish was not what I expected. It was three very small thin medallions of meat more like cold cuts slices. The Frutti de Mare pasta was extremely "fishy" reminiscent of poor quality seafood. Our meal was lacking in flavor and seasoning from start to finish. We didn’t finish our food and choose not to wrap up the leftover food.I wish I was able to provide a more positive review because the owner and staff were so nice.
