Jan 22 2017 Yelp 4 This is a local gem. We were looking for a good place to celebrate our anniversary and were not let down. Good atmosphere, great service, fine food. It’s always better to go to a privately owned place than a franchise. Gotta have dessert when you dine there .

Jan 2 2017 Yelp 5 Decided to try this restaurant as it was supposed to be good, solid Italian food with a personal touch. We went last night with my son and his girlfriend and we were all very impressed. Starting with the baked clams and mussels in bianco, which were tender and the sauce was awesome. My wife had the lobster tails oreganato, which came with clams and mussels as well and was perfectly done. My son’s lamb chops was grilled just right with garlic and oil and his girlfriend’s gnocchi was perfectly cooked in an excellent meat sauce.. I had the trippa napolitana, which was really tender in a very nice marinara sauce. All in all a great meal, with great service and friendly staff and owners. We plan on being back often!

Nov 26 2016 Yelp 2 I can’t imagine what all the fuss is about. For an island that has some of the best Italian food around this place does not deserve 5 stars! My husband had the spinach salad. It was ok. Plenty of fresh spinach and facon bits but the mushrooms were raw. I had the beet salad which had 2-3 tiny drops of goat cheese and nothing else. Not great. Then we had order the calamari fritti. We figured for a place that had an entire menu section devoted to  calamari it must be good. It was, by far, the WORST calamari we have ever eaten! It was dry, hard and chewy. I had to spit several pieces into my napkin because they simple could not be chewed. The last thing we had was the eggplant rollatini. It was edible, however, it tasted like the eggplant you would get at a second rate catering hall, not a first rate Italian  restaurant. At that point we decided not to order entrees, got the check, and cut our losses. The only reason I even gave it 2 stars is because the waiter was really good.

Nov 24 2016 Yelp 4 This place is a hidden gem. Went on a Wednesday which has a chicken special that comes with a salad and pasta or vegetables. The chicken casanova was UNREAL. The chicken portovino was also very good. The baked clams were not my favorite as I prefered it to be less mushy and more charred on top. Calamari was good and light.

Nov 22 2016 Yelp 4 Im having a really really awful week. Hate the holidays and am absolutely miserable. Haven’t eaten since Sunday so i needed to get something filling. I haven’t been here in a long time and wanted gnocchi so off i went. I called to place my order and bundled up since it s fucking freezing out and drove there quickly. I was greeted by the nicest staff. They all look so happy. Are you hiring??? lol. I got the Pizzette Margarita and Gnocchi with mini meatballs. The pizzette is huge. No basil though. Very very good. The gnocchi was awesome very light. The sauce was ok. Nothing special. Meatballs were not mini but rather large and tasty. Very cute place and make you feel at home. Now im sitting here on my fat ass eating my feelings and trying not to buy the rope at Lowe’s.

Nov 18 2016 Yelp 5 After living in this town and coming here pretty often, it truly is one of the best Italian restaurants. Very small and cozy but still comfortable. The bar area is very tiny but they make it work. The service here is insane and the food is absolutely amazing. So fresh and delicioussss. The white wine mussels and baked clams are my favorite appetizers. They serve warm bread on the table. My favorite entree to order from here is angel hair with garlic and oil and sliced grilled chicken. My boyfriend had the chicken scarpiello and said it was one of the best. When you order a martini they leave you the rest of the shaker - this is a plus ;) My boyfriend and I called last weekend on a Saturday night and thought to ourselves "let’s go to Elisa’s! Wait..it’s a Saturday night at 7pm, they’re going to be packed!" well I called and Tony said no worries I’ll save you a seat come on in. When we got there, there was a table waiting for us and it made our night!Keep up the awesome work and will be back soon!!

Nov 1 2016 Yelp 5 Great service and sumptuous menu! This is a Long Island gem! If you’re looking for an authentic Italian meal this is the place to go to!! Two thumbs up! Kudos to the chef and the owners!! Also good to note that it’s kid-friendly! My kids loved the chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks and chicken parm.

Oct 14 2016 Yelp 5 After visiting Elisa’s four or five times in the last year +, we’ve come to recognize that it is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area and, yes, one of the best overall restaurants in the area. Excellent service, pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and the waiter at the next table also checked in on us. One of of the owners, Rocco or Rocky, stopped by when we were finishing to make sure that we were satisfied. We’ve decided to bring my very picky in-laws here because we’re pretty sure that they’ll be pleased too. We like to try different places but Elisa’s is likely to be our go-to place when we just want solid good, easy and comfortable service and great food.

Sep 10 2016 Yelp 5 I live a couple of blocks away from here,so tonight my girlfriend and I took a walk to this restaurant.I first heard about Elisa’s from a coworker who attended a party here and he highly recommended it.I’m particularly fond of Italian cuisine and I ate here only once before and it was very good that time.Tonight was exquisite! Absolutely delicious from a stuffed mushroom appetizer to a spinach salad( plenty for 2 to share) I had a chicken dish for an entree portofino something or other that was out of this world! I usually don’t have dessert but We enjoyed our dining experience so much I finished with a delicious slice of chocolate new york cheesecake.I want to acknowledge our waiter "Rob" he was so personable funny extreamly patient in not rushing our meal like I’ve experienced in other places.I can honestly say he was one of the most attentive waiters I’ve ever had,he is a great asset to Elisa’s and hope he’s our waiter again because we will be back!

Aug 4 2016 Yelp 2 FOR AMERICANS, THE FOOD IS OK..BUT FOR US WHO KNOW BETTER.. WALK AWAY, PASS GO..AND KEEP LOOKING FOR A GREAT ITALAN PLACE..I am 100% Sicilian, and after hearing from so many friends that this place  was very good.. I was going have a 70th. Surprise Birthday Party..I went with a girlfriend to check the food out... Well for this SICILIAN, this place is TERRIBLE.. We ordered  3 dishes, that we were going offer.. The  salmon, with Dijon sauce...the fish was fishy the sauce was bland.    The Pena alla voca, the sauce was red not pink, SOUR TASTING, it looked and tasted like no cream was added to the sauce..I told the waitress how to fix the sauce..  So she brought over a plate of Penn, with plain sauce , this too was SOUR TASTING TOO..BUT NAT AS BAD AS THE ALLA VOCCA. THE LAST DISH WAS VEAL SCALOPPINE MARSALA WITH MUSHROOMS..., my girlfrend loved it ..BUT THE VEAL WAS TUFF, AND THE MUSHROOMS WERE OVER COOKED IN MARSALA...

Jul 30 2016 Google 5 Outstanding food and friendly service. People that say anything bad about this place really have NO idea what real Italian food tastes like. Thats all I have to say.. They need to eat at Olive Garden. Not here.. This place is beyond outstanding.. No wonder its packed at 5pm and have valet parking.. We cannot wait to go back

Jul 23 2016 Yelp 4 Very good! We did not eat there, we took out. We got chicken parmigiana and it was a little dry (the chicken) but very tasty. The pasta was not mushy (thank goodness; I’m so tired of Long Island Italian restaurants and their mushy pasta). It wasn’t al dente either, just regular, which was fine, that’s how I like it. The sauce was very good. They could do a little better on the bread, it was pretty dry and a bit hard. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised, I would order from there again and will update when I try something different!

Jul 16 2016 Yelp 5 Had a business in the neighborhood for years and never went. Tonite we went with friends on the recommendation of a coworker. Absolutely DELICIOUS. start to finish, from apps to cappuccino, just a great meal. The appetizers were all great, my favorite were the artichoke hearts, wife and friend devoured tge eggplant rollatini and they are both eggplant snobs. For entree, we all shared...the gnocci were homemade and light not heavy. I wouldve liked more of the delicious Bolognese, veal saltimbocca great! Pork chop-super tender and juicy. Perfect cappuccinos to end a fantastic meal.Very attentive service. Would recommend to everyone. Can’t wait til will go back again.

Mar 15 2016 Yelp 5 The staff is always so friendly and the food is great! Always fairly priced and delicious. I’ve tried the shrimp parm and chicken francese(my go-to choices), both perfect. My friend tried a red snapper special and described it as "addicting" and she’s a hard one to please. Will be back time and time again.

Feb 20 2016 Yelp 5 Excellent food !!! Hard to find great places without having to drive to the city or queens. Local to our place in north bellmore is just one of the perks! I always get the shrimp Parmesan and it’s amazing every time! The rest of the table orders other random stuff which I always get to pick at and try but overall never had a bad meal or tried something I didn’t like. I suggest making a reservation as this place stays busy. Oh yea the pours for their wine at colossal as well :)

Feb 2 2016 Yelp 4 This restaurant has been a family favorite for years. Tuesday Pasta night--pasta entree with salad for $12.95--is a great deal. Had an issue with the salmon being undercooked and the staff took it back right away and the manager came over to apologize. Nevertheless, solid Italian food, inviting atmosphere, and friendly staff. Definitely coming back!

Jan 6 2016 Yelp 5 Great food and welcoming staff! A large selection of appetizers, which we love, and everything we ordered was delicious. The owner came out to introduce himself, and our server couldn’t have been more attentive. It’s kind of unassuming from outside, but once you go in you will be happy you did! We will definitely be going back.

Dec 17 2015 Yelp 4 I went there a few days ago with my family. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened (Google said they opened at 11am, however they open at noon). They  happily gave us a table and accommodated all our requests. Food was very good. I had Caesar salad and chicken marsala. Customer service was excellent.

Dec 13 2015 Yelp 5 Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend and I go here for dinner every chance we get. I love their lasagne and he loves the penne alla vodka, rigatoni broccoli rabe. Ugh and what is dinner without dessert! Cappuccino with tiramisu, yum.

Dec 3 2015 Yelp 5 Had dinner this evening with friends at Elisa’s. We’ve eaten here before, but I have only recently come to appreciate more than just the food. The food is wonderful - I had Veal Marsala and (really good) potato croquets. Others at our table had ciappino, and veal sorrentino. There was nothing left on anyone’s plate.Back to other than the food - John Patrick E. was our waiter - attentive, but not intrusive. Such an asset! Rocky was also fun as he stopped by our table. Lucky to have them as a local place.

Oct 17 2015 Yelp 3 I took my friend here last night for her birthday. The place itself looks a little outdated, but I have heard the food is excellent so we looked past the decor.  We shared a fried calamari appetizer, it tasted pretty standard. My friend had gotten the pumpkin ravioli special and I had gotten the Cavatelli bolognese.  Her ravioli were alright, they lacked a little bit of flavor. My Cavatelli were very good, however neither of our portions were very big. When we go out to dinner, neither one of us ever finish our entrees, we always end up taking at least half of our dinner home.  This was not the case last night. We both licked our plates clean, and could have eaten more.  And for 16 bucks for a plate of pasta, you expect a much larger serving.      I’m not really sure if I would go back or not. For the same price, I could go to Passione in Carle Place and leave there full.
